Transparency Forum: Anti-Corruption Agencies in Afghanistan & Launch of Citizen Report Card

On 21st November 2016, AJO Vice President participated in the Transparency Forum: Anti-Corruption Agencies in Afghanistan held at the Kabul Star Hotel. This event was focused on assessing Afghanistan’s current anti-corruption agencies and the draft anti-corruption law and a number of government officials, civil society representatives and international community representatives had participated in the event. Discussions over the anti-corruption efferots, obstacles and solutions to tackle the current situation were the purpose of the event.
On 22nd November, 2016, AJO Vice President participated in the Transparency International launch of a ground-breaking citizen report card, on the performance of the Afghan National Unity Government in delivering its anti-corruption commitments. The report reviews the anti-corruption efforts of the Afghan National Unity Government during the last two years in order to set direction and priorities for the next four years.
